We collect you from your hotel at 8.30am. Argyll and Bute on Scotland’s West Coast gives you a great impression of Scotland’s Highlands without driving quite as far as our other West Highland Tours. This route takes us along the West bank of Loch Lomond as we head to our first stop, Inveraray Castle
Kilchurn Castle, ArgyllInveraray Castle is home to the Duke of Argyll and just one of the ancestral home’s of Clan Campbell. The original castle has been standing on the shore of Loch Fyne since the 1400’s.
Next we shall visit Kilchurn castle. Once again, another ancestral home of Clan Campbell until turbulent times turned this castle into a military garrison.

Tour of Stirling & The 3 Lochs
We collect you from your hotel at 8.30am. Our Stirling and three lochs tour offers a great blend of historic sites and beautiful scenery. On this tour we visit Stirling and head to the most famous battle in Scottish history, Bannockburn. In 1314 Robert The Bruce defeated the might of the English army to regain Scotland’s independence. A monument stands where The Bruce had his command post and orchestrated what was to be, one of the greatest victories on Scottish soil.
The Wallace MonumentNot too far away stands another monument to a Scottish hero – The Wallace Monument commemorating William Wallace (Braveheart!). Overlooking Stirling bridge, this monument marks the site of William Wallace’s famous victory over the might of the English army in 1297.
Stirling Castle is our next stop. This landmark towering over the city is very similar to Edinburgh Castle in appearance. Most of what you see today was built by the Stewart monarchy in the early 14-1500s.
Finally we head to the Highland boundary fault line in the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. We take the scenic route around Loch Venachar, Loch Achray and Loch Drunkie on the spectacular Dukes Pass. This tour gives you a little taste of the Highlands without the lengthy drive involved in a typical highland tour from Edinburgh.

Tour of Stirling, Winter Special
We collect you from your hotel at a slightly later time of 10am. Our Stirling winter tour is designed to accommodate reduced daylight hours. On this tour we visit the mighty Stirling Castle which stands proud on a volcanic rock overlooking rich farmland and the distant mountains of the highlands. Stirling Castle has a very turbulent history as the most fought over property in Scotland. The nearby Church of the Holy Rude is the only remaining active church in the UK, other than Westminster Abbey that has witnessed the coronation of a King (James 6th and 1st)Church of the Holy Rude
After lunch we visit Deanston whisky distillery. Originally built as a cotton mill in 1785, the factory closed its doors in 1965 and the decision was taken to transform the site into a whisky distillery.
If you don’t wish to take a distillery tour then you also have the option to visit nearby Doune Castle. Built in 1400 as a Royal residence for the 1st Duke of Albany Stuarts, it’s also the film set of Monty Pythons Holy Grail, Winterfell in Game of Thrones and most recent is Castle Leoch in the Outlander series.

Tour of Outlander set locations
We collect you from your hotel, then visit various locations used for filming the hit series Outlander. Based on the best selling novels by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander is filmed in real Castles and towns throughout Scotland.
Our first location on this Outlander tour is the historic town of Falkland. The town is the setting for episode one where Frank and Claire Randall come to Scotland on holiday. This is a real town, not a movie set and all the shops and recognisable features are there, including the town square fountain where Frank encounters Jamie’s ghost watching Claire through the window.
Our next location is Doune Castle. The Castle was completed in 1400 for the 1st Duke of Albany and provides the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. It was also the set for Winterfell in Game of Thrones and Monty Pythons Holy Grail. The Castle remains unchanged since first built and regarded as one of the best preserved medieval Castles in Scotland.
Blackness Castle, Outlander
Our final location on this Outlander tour is Blackness Castle. Dating from 1440, the Castle provides the setting for Fort William, as the original fort no longer exists.

Tour of Scottish Highlands, Glencoe
We collect you from your hotel at 8am to start your Glencoe Tour. This Lochs and Glens (Lakes and Valleys) tour takes us through some of Scotland’s most picturesque landscape. As we head North West along the fabled A85 and A82, we visit no less than 10 Lochs.

As we climb into the mountains we turn off the main tourist route and visit Glen Etive, with a hope of catching sight of some Red Deer. This lesser travelled part of the country is where James Bond-Skyfall, Harry Potter, Outlaw King and Mary Queen of Scots were filmed. This magnificent landscape of extinct volcanoes, carved and reshaped by glaciers, is fantastic to explore. Etive Mor is an extinct super volcano standing at the gateway to Glen Etive which came 2nd place in a poll by Tripadvisor of the “top 10 places to see before you die” . Unlike most tour companies who simply pass through Glencoe, we spend several hours exploring this beautiful part of the country, so you can fully immerse yourself in the surroundings. We stop regularly to make sure you take home fantastic photographs of this rugged and majestic landscape.
We then stop at the Three Sisters of Glencoe. Considered by most Scot’s to be the heart of the Highlands. This area has a turbulent history, notably the massacre of Glencoe in 1692 when 38 men of Clan Macdonald were slain by government troops.
Finally,, we make our way back South crossing through Highland Perthshire and some picturesque villages, including St Fillans and Comrie. We then return you to your hotel in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Tour of St. Andrews & East Neuk of Fife

We collect you from your hotel at 8.30am. St. Andrews is famously known as the home of Golf, however 1000 years ago it was the religious capital of Scotland.
More recently the town can boast its part in the meeting of our future King and Queen, Prince William and Princess Katherine Middleton at St. Andrews university. Their romance blossomed in this ancient town amongst the student hangouts and restauraunts.
Falkland PalaceWith 11 golf courses, an ancient Abbey and Castle and the old University buildings to explore, the town of St. Andrews has something for everyone.
Next we will take a trip along the coast to the East Neuk of Fife and visit the picturesque fishing villages of Anstruther and Pittenweem. Our final stop will be Falkland Palace. Once home of the Stewart Kings and Queens, this palace also has the worlds oldest Royal tennis court.

Tour of Perthshire Whisky distilleries
We collect you from your hotel at 8.30am. This Whisky tour gives you a choice of 4 distilleries in the Perthshire area. Glen Turret in Crieff offers the Famous Grouse experience. Dewar’s of Aberfeldy has been a working distillery for the last 160 years. Edradour near Pitlochry is Scotland’s smallest whisky distillery and Blair Athol in Pitlochry is one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries.
Famous GrouseEach Whisky distillery tour takes between 1 hour 45 mins to 2 hours. If you wish to visit them all, we suggest only taking 1 tour and simply looking around the other locations. The drive between each distillery seems satisfying enough for the clients who have already enjoyed this tour.

We depart Glasgow heading over the Erskine bridge on our way to Glencoe. We have a couple of stops en route for pictures to take in the splendour of the Glencoe Valley & The Three Sisters arriving at the multi award winning Glencoe Visitor Centre.
We head south after this to the pretty conservation village of Luss situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond. We have time for a leisurely walk around this idyllic village and also lunch.
After lunch we head to Glengoyne Distillery, situated in a wooded valley in the southern Highlands. The distillery, which takes its name from ‘Glen Guin’ or Glen of the Wild Geese, has been producing a high quality single malt for nearly 200 years. You have the opportunity to tour this wonderful distillery as well as sampling the product. Finally no tour would be complete without a visit to the Distillery shop !

We depart Glasgow heading over the Erskine bridge on our way to Loch Lomond (the largest expanse of fresh water in the country) where we stop off at the conservation village of Luss for coffee and sightseeing.
Highland Scenery and History...

We then head deep into the Highlands, passing through breathtaking scenery (including views along Loch Awe, the longest in Scotland). The countryside here is rich with history. We pass haunting Kilchurn Castle (historically a stronghold of the Campbell Clan) and the Pass of Brander (where Robert the Bruce had a notable victory).

By lunchtime, you'll have reached Oban and will have time to explore this Victorian seaside town, climb up to McCaig's Tower, take in the views to the isles of Mull and Kerrera and try some of the freshest seafood you'll ever have tasted. If you want, you can choose to prolong your visit with an overnight stay*.

Heading north from Glasgow we pass the imposing ramparts of Stirling Castle, skirt the Trossachs (Rob Roy country) before crossing the wilds of Rannoch Moor and onto dramatic Glencoe, site of the massacre of the McDonald clan in 1692.
Our tour takes us past Fort William and Britain's highest mountain, the mighty Ben Nevis before following the Great Glen and stopping in the village of Fort Augustus by the shores of mysterious Loch Ness.
You have the option to take a boat trip and hunt for Nessie, explore the shores of the loch or simply relax and enjoy your free locally produced picnic lunch. (A typical lunch includes a bottle of Scottish mineral water, a choice of freshly made sandwiches and shortbread).
Our return journey passes south along Loch Laggan stopping at one of the quaint Highland villages along the way. After one last sight of the spectacular Forth Bridges we arrive back in Glasgow around 8pm.

From Glasgow our coach travels north, before making a coffee stop on the shores of Loch Lomond. Travelling the length of the loch, we climb up into the Highlands, over the unique, desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland’s best-loved glens, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.
Continuing via Loch Linnhe, we stop in Fort William area for lunch then continue into the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass beneath Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Travelling on, we admire the Caledonian Canal, and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying spectacular views of Loch Ness, as we drive along the shoreline to Urquhart Castle.
Loch Ness, 24 miles long and over 700 feet deep is more famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster, affectionately known as 'Nessie'. We spend approximately two hours at Loch Ness, where you can choose to take a wonderful 5 Star Jacobite cruise and explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle and visitor centre.
Passing through Inverness, Capital of the Highlands, we start our return for home, crossing the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, en route back to Glasgow A cruise on Loch Ness is an unforgettable experience, where you might just catch a glimpse of Nessie. Day 1
We start our journey in Glasgow taking in George Square, Glasgow Cathedral, St Mungo Museum, Oldest Buiding in Glasgow, Glasgow University & Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
After Glasgow we head over the Erskine bridge to Loch Lomond and the idyllac village of Luss. We stop hear for lunch.
We proceed along the A82 to Glencoe taking in the Glencoe Valley and The Three Sisters for photo stops before arriving at The Glencoe Visitor Centre
We stop off at Fort William for an overnight stay

Day 2
Our road to Skye takes in some breath taking scenery. Our first stop is The Commando Memorial. We then proceed to Loch Garry which is famous for the shape of the shoreline being nick named "Map Of Scotland" After Loch Garry we travel onto Eilean Donan Castle. It is one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle is recognised all around the world. Its situated on an island where three great lochs meet and surrounded by majestic scenery..
From there we head over the Skye Bridge past the Cuillin Mountains to Portree on the Isle Of Skye. We stop here for lunch.
After lunch we travel through The Trotternish Peninsuala taking in Old Man of Storr, Lealt Waterfall & Kilt Rock.

We stop off at Portree for an overnight stay

Day 3
Our road back to Glasgow takes us to our first stop Urquhart Castle with breath taking views of Loch Ness. If your lucky you may get the chance to see "Nessie" the monster! We then proceed to the Loch Ness Visitor Centre. After that we proceed onto Invernes Castle and stop for lunch.
Having finished lunch we set off for Pitlochry Fish Ladder. Here is where 5000 salmon migrate through each year. We also take in the picturesque town of Pitlochry.
Our last stop on our tour is the iconic Forth Road Bridge at South Queensferyy. We have time for a marvelous photo stop before heading back to Glasgow

Tour of The Highlands in Winter, 3 Day Tour
Our 3 day winter tour of the highlands is perfectly adapted to suit the shorter daylight hours, as well as closures of some attractions during the winter period. There’s still a great number of sights accessible all year round and the Highlands is a very special place to visit, with snow covered mountains and very few people around.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
•Our first stop is the mighty Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. This commanding position at the foot of the Highland boundary has been fought over for thousands of years as a strategic point to control the entire country.
•We continue north/west into the mountain wilderness to visit Etive Mor, an extinct super volcano known locally as “the Shepard of Glencoe”. Here we turn off the beaten path into Glen Etive for spectacular scenery and hopefully spot Red Deer in their native habitat.
•Next stop is Scotland’s most desired spot, Glencoe. Towering mountains on all sides and a bloody history make this an unforgettable experience to all who visit.
•Our final port of call is the town of Fort William at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. (Fort William will be our overnight stop)
Day 2
•We start the day with a visit to Thomas Telford’s engineering masterpiece; Neptune’s staircase. Constructed 200 years ago it’s part of the Caledonian Canal System. This series of 8 locks lifts boats some 70 ft from the sea level to Loch Lochy above.
•We then head west to Glenfinnan and Loch Shiel for one of Scotland’s finest views. Here we will see the Glenfinnan Viaduct which features in Harry Potter movies and the Jacobite memorial. •Next we turn back to Fort William for a tour of Ben Nevis Whisky Distillery. You will learn about Scotland’s famous “water of life” and sample a dram or two.
•We continue north to the Commando Memorial, one of Scotland’s most iconic war memorials, dedicated to the British Commandos who trained in the region. With magnificent views over the Nevis range which includes Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
•Our final stop will be the mighty Loch Ness. Here we visit the historic remains of Urquhart Castle and you have the option to take a cruise on the Loch and hopefully catch a glimpse of the illusive Nessie herself. (Inverness will be our overnight stop)
Day 3
•We start the day with a visit to Culloden battle field where the British government troops fought the Jacobite army in 1746. The Scots suffered a heavy defeat and this was to be the last ever battle on UK soil. The visitor centre has a state of the art 360 degree theatre which allows you to immerse yourself in the battle and hear real accounts from those who fought.
•From Culloden we move a few miles along the road to the see the 4,000 year old Clava Cairn Burial Chambers. This exceptionally well preserved Bronze Age cemetery is one of Scotland’s most sacred prehistoric sites.
•Our final stop will be the beautiful Queens view in Highland Perthshire as we make our way back to Edinburgh. This elevated view point offers spectacular vistas over Loch Tummel. •We continue south returning to Edinburgh where we sadly say farewell.

Our 4 day Highlands and Isle of Skye tour is perfect for those wishing to escape city life and experience raw nature. We visit more remote parts of the country on this tour and the spectacular, Isle of Skye. The volcanic landscape which constantly changes as you travel around the island has drawn travellers from all around the World, as well as major movie productions.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
•Our first stop is the mighty Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. This commanding position at the foot of the Highland boundary has been fought over for thousands of years as a strategic point to control the entire country.
•We continue north/west into the mountain wilderness to visit Etive Mor, an extinct super volcano known locally as “the Shepard of Glencoe”. Here we turn off the beaten path into Glen Etive for spectacular scenery and hopefully spot Red Deer in their native habitat.
•Next stop is Scotland’s most desired spot, Glencoe. Towering mountains on all sides and a bloody history make this an unforgettable experience to all who visit.
•Our final port of call is the town of Fort William at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. (Fort William will be our overnight stop)
Day 2
•We start the day with a visit to Thomas Telford’s engineering masterpiece, Neptune’s staircase. Constructed 200 years ago it’s part of the Caledonian Canal system. This series of 8 locks lifts boats some 70ft from the sea level to Loch Lochy above.
•We then head west to Glenfinnan and Loch Shiel for one of Scotland’s finest views. Here we will see the Glenfinnan viaduct which featured in Harry Potter and the Jacobite memorial. •We continue along the spectacular road to the Isles and catch a ferry for the short journey from Mallaig to the Isle of Skye.
•In Skye we visit Armadale castle. Dating from the 1650’s this became the seat of Clan Donald. The powerful MacDonald’s of Armadale were the Lords of the Isles.
•We continue north across the wild terrain of Skye to your hotel of choice. (The Isle of Skye will be our overnight stop)
•May to October the Jacobite steam train (featured in Harry Potter) is running which gives you the option to travel to Mallaig by steam train then continue with us on the ferry. Pre-booking tickets is essential to take the train.
Day 3
•We start with driving a loop round the geological wonder of the Trotternish peninsular. We visit The Old Man of Storr (featured in the movie Prometheus) then continue to the 200ft Kilt rock waterfall.
•We then visit the strange landscape of the Quiraing. This volcanic wonder is one of the most beautiful sites on the island.
•Next we visit another bizarre feature known as the Fairy glen. It can only be described as a miniature mountain landscape suitable for elves and goblins.
•We continue west across the island to the only remaining inhabited castle on Skye. Home to Clan Macleod for the last 800 years, Dunvegan Castle and gardens is a great place to immerse yourself in history with the longest continuous habitation of any castle in Scotland. (Overnight stay on the Isle of Skye)
Day 4
•We make our way off the island via the Skye Bridge back to the mainland where we visit Scotland’s most photographed castle, Eilean Donan. It features in many movies including James Bond, Highlander and Maid of Honour.
•We continue east through the rugged mountain landscape to the mighty Loch Ness. Here we stop to give you the opportunity to take photos and hopefully catch a glimpse of the illusive Loch Ness monster “Nessie” before we stop at Fort Augustus for lunch.
•We finally make our way back south through the Cairngorm mountain range to Edinburgh where we sadly say farewell.

Day 4

Day 5
•We start the day with a visit to Culloden battle field where the British government troops fought the Jacobite army in 1746. The Scots suffered a heavy defeat and this was to be the last ever battle on UK soil. The visitor centre has a state of the art 360 degree theatre which allows you to immerse yourself in the battle and hear real accounts from those who fought.
•From Culloden we move a few miles along the road to the see the 4,000 year old Clava Cairn burial chambers. This exceptionally well preserved Bronze Age cemetery is one of Scotland’s most sacred prehistoric sites.
•We continue back south through the beautiful Cairngorm Mountains to highland Perthshire where we visit the stunning Blair Castle. Home to the Duke of Atholl for more than 700 years. This pristine white castle has a large armoury which includes weapons used during the battle of Culloden.
•We continue south to Edinburgh or Glasgow where we sadly say farewell.

Day 1
•We take you round the City of Edinburgh “off the beaten path” with a drive up Arthur’s seat; 823ft of volcano in the heart of Edinburgh. Enjoy panoramic views of the city.
•We then head to the Forth road and rail bridges. The rail bridge (The Forth Bridge), built in 1881 was considered at the time, the greatest feat of engineering in the industrial world.
•Overlooking these landmarks are some of Scotland’s finest stately homes and castles. First we visit Hopetoun House. Arguably the finest stately home in Scotland.
•Blackness Castle is our next stop. This sea side fortress is a text book example of a Scottish castle.
•Next we move onto the Palace of Linlithgow. A ghostly looking shell of its former grand royal days.
•Finally we visit Rosslyn Chapel. Featured in Hollywood blockbuster The Da Vinci Code. With links to the Knights Templar and Built in 1446, this is believed to be the hiding place of the Holy Grail.
•You also have the option to visit Glenkinchie Whisky Distillery on this Edinburgh tour at no extra cost. (Overnight stay in Edinburgh)
Day 2

•We continue into Highland Perthshire where we visit the beautiful Blair Castle home to the Duke of Atholl for over 700 years. This pristine white castle has a large armoury which includes weapons used during the battle of Culloden.
•After a late lunch we will make our way through the Cairngorm National Park, continuing north to the city of Inverness for the evening. (Overnight stop in Inverness)

Day 4
•We start the day with a drive north to visit the beautiful Dunrobin Castle. This fairy tale castle is the family seat of the Earl of Sutherland and Clan Sutherland.
•We continue north to the very tip of the mainland where we board the 13.30 ferry to the Orkney Isles.
•We spend the afternoon visiting sites on the southern islands while making our way up to the main island.
•Highlights will include the famous Churchill barriers which connect the islands and built as anti-submarine defences in World War 2. Views out to the famous Scapa Flow and a visit to the magnificent Italian Chapel constructed by prisoners of war.
•We continue onto the main island and visit the 880 year old St Magnus Cathedral. It’s considered one of the best preserved buildings of its era anywhere in Britain.
•We stop for the evening in the main town of Kirkwall. (Overnight Kirkwall, Orkney)
Day 5
•We set off to explore the main island visiting a great selection of pre-historic sites. We start with the Iron Age Broch of Gurness. Constructed around 500BC it’s a great example of a stone house and unique in the fact they are only found in Scotland.
•Our next stop is the World famous Skara Brae. This site, discovered buried in the sand after a storm in the 1850’s is the best preserved group of prehistoric houses anywhere in Western Europe dating back more than 5000 years.
•Next we visit the Neolithic stone circle and henge at the Ring of Brodgar. Dating from around 2500BC it’s also one of the most important active archaeological digs in Europe.
•We continue to the nearby Standing Stones of Stenness. This may be the earliest Henge monument in Britain dating back 5400 years.
•Finally we visit the chambered tomb of Maeshowe. This 5000 year old structure is considered to be the finest Neolithic building in North West Europe.
•Finally we return to Kirkwall for the evening. (Overnight Kirkwall, Orkney)
Day 6
•We depart Orkney on the morning ferry and start making our way south towards the west coast.
•We travel through the magnificent Torridon Mountains. This remote area offers some of Scotland’s best scenic landscapes.
•We continue west through the rugged landscape to one of Scotland’s most picturesque castles, Eilean Donan. The castle was lovingly restored in the early 1900’s by Lt. Col. John Macrae Gilstrap. It’s featured in many movies including Highlander, James Bond and Maid of Honour.
•Finally we cross the bridge over to the magical Isle of Skye and make our way to the main town of Portree where we stop for the night. (Overnight Portree, Isle of Skye)
Day 7

The 3 peaks challenge involves, visiting the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales – climbing 2926 meters (approximately 10,000 feet) and walking over 22 miles in the process. It has become the norm to try to complete the 3 peaks within 24 hours but there is no official time scale for this challenge. This is why we offer the 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours or a more relaxed approach over 3 days or 6 Days.
